Job Description
Due to team growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Sustainability Consultant to join our market leading sustainability team at CBRE. Sitting within Environmental Consultancy the Sustainability Consultancy team features highly experienced professionals who advise clients in the UK and EMEA on compliance, certification and sustainability consultancy; whether it be navigating the planning process, giving clients clear, timely advice on for due diligence reports, energy conservation and making sure any wider sustainability objectives are addressed.

The successful candidate will work across a diverse project portfolio. You will be leading on the delivery of sustainability assessment projects such as BREEAM, as well as sustainability statements, energy, waste & recycling strategies. You will have an strong desire to learn from established team members with a desire to build strong relationships with clients.
This role would suit a candidate with a background delivering BREEAM who is now looking to step up into a more real estate focussed role. This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in the growth and development of the sustainability team leading on projects as well as supporting other members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and share strategies for improving sustainability / wellness projects
• Lead the delivery of projects with support from a senior member of the team
• Lead and / or help deliver BREEAM, LEED and WELL projects
• Produce reports providing advice to clients and project teams
• Review documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project’s targets and provide feedback
• Communicate sustainability requirements to our team members
• Attend site visits to review progress against sustainability / wellness targets
• Review the performance of designated projects and update the team’s project tracker with progress and financial information
• Engage with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.

Person Specification

• Strong holistic understanding of sustainability across the built environment
• Experience carrying out sustainability assessments
• Strong understanding of BREEAM, with a BREEAM AP qualification and/or a BREEAM licence. LEED, SKA and WELL is also considered.
• Completed at least one assessment on one of the above methodologies
• Commercially minded, comfortable developing and nurturing new and existing client relationships
• An Energy/Sustainability/Building Services/Engineering related degree would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• At least 18 months experience
