Description

Broadway Malyan is a global architecture, urbanism and design practice dedicated to creating cities, buildings and places that will provide a lasting legacy. Through a shared design ethos, we work together to create places with a strong sense of identity where people and communities want to live, learn, shop, work and relax.

We’re seeking an Experienced Interior Designer to be an integral part of our studio team. This is a great opportunity to join a global architectural and urbanism practice with ambitious growth plans for the future.

We believe that rigorous placemaking-led design is key to maximising the economic and social value of our projects from a city district, building or park to an individual home or interior space. The places we design are people focused with strong sense of place that stimulates our deep-rooted desire to feel a sense of belonging to and connection with our environment.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate these key skills:
• Excellent hand sketching skills to develop concepts and communicate ideas to clients.
• Knowledge of finishes, materials, packages, details and furniture.
• Experience in design software including SketchUp, Revit, Auto-Cad and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with building regulations and UK construction standards but with a strong emphasis on RIBA stage 1-4.
• Experienced in producing design reports and presentations.
• Ability to brief external agencies on the production of good quality CGIs and 3D assets

To join our team, we are keen to recruit an individual who can demonstrate these core competencies:
• Committed professional outlook.
• A desire to succeed and a positive can-do attitude.
• Calm under pressure especially when working to project deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated person who uses their own initiative.
• Team player who understand collaborative working.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Client facing and good presentation skills a plus.
